French style percussion carbine with Arabic markings on lock; ca mid-19th Century; last one we have seen Fred Datig purchased from King Farouk of Egypt collection in the 1960’s. Possibly Egyptian, Turkish or Moroccan according to student who differ on this piece’s origin; S/N 3193, light grey/brown patina, good action and stock. Est.: $800-$1,600.
